Pyramid Publishers is a small publishing house that covers a gap between self-publishing companies, which have up-front costs, and traditional print publishers that offer 4% to 8% royalties.

 There are no up-front costs to you, and your only cost after publication is when you order quantities of books for direct sales. No up-front costs include full graphic art services for book cover design and professional book formatting for print layout. 

 Our publishing house accepts mainly non-fiction work that is well researched, well written, and has the potential to reach 1,000+ books sold.

 As a small publishing house, our goal is to establish a personal working relationship with our authors, as if you were a member of the family. 



Royalties

1. Publisher website and publisher direct sales.

• You receive 50% of the net sales price (list price of book minus printing cost of book and shipping). The publisher’s expenses come out of its 50% share.

 2. Your website and your direct sales (books you order from the publisher).

• You pay for the printing and shipping costs of the books you order, and as the books are sold or given away by you, you keep 50% of the net sales price (list price of book minus printing cost of book and shipping) and pay Pyramid Publishers the other 50%.
• Pyramid Publishers would work with you to identify how you could market the book yourself.

 3. Book store sales and on-line sales (amazon.com, etc.)

• You receive 50% of all net royalties (sales price of book minus a 40% to 55% discount and minus the printing cost of the books).
• Your book will be listed with Ingram and Baker & Taylor for retail stores and libraries to order.
• Your book will be available through amazon.com and barnesandnoble.com.



Submissions

• For an initial submission, please send a one-page synopsis of the book, a draft table of contents, the first chapter, and a summary of your platform (what background and expertise you have to write this book, what other writing you have done, who is your target audience, and what you plan to do on your end to sell at least 500 copies of your book.)
• You will receive a response to this submission within three weeks that we would either  be interested in talking to you more about your book or that we don’t feel it is a book we choose to publish at this time.
• The final submitted manuscript must be professionally edited, with documentation.
• Proofreading (not editing) will be performed by the publisher and by you for the designed and formatted pre-press copy.
